As you know, at Walmart we are committed to ensuring the safety and well-being of those
that work in our supply chain. As part of this commitment, earlier this year we announced
several important enhancements to our standards around fire safety and we have appreciated
your partnership as we have worked to implement these enhancements.
Because we know that continued partnership with our suppliers is key to making meaningful
changes in our supply chain, moving forward we will be inviting your feedback on proposed
revisions to our Standards for Suppliers. Today we are asking for feedback on Section 7 –
Safety. This section of our Standards for Suppliers has been changed to increase our focus
on achievable actions that drive meaningful improvements in fire safety. This approach
applies a similar standard for suppliers as Walmart adheres to for its own stores and
operations.

“Fire Safety Standards”. Please limit your comments to changes regarding the standards
proposed in the document, and support your comments with appropriate technical material.
We will review all comments, but will not be able to respond to all the feedback we receive.
