Cerf is one of a handful of individuals (along with
Leonard Kleinrock and Bob Kahn) who is most
frequently called the “father of the Internet.”
While a professor at Stanford, Cerf codesigned the
packet network interconnection protocols that
would come to be known as TCP/IP, which helped
pave the way for the Internet.
