If you ever get a blowout while you are driving, you should know what to do. A blowout is a sudden flat tire. It can be a very frightening experience, especially if you are traveling at a high speed. If your car gets a blowout, the first thing to do is to hold very tightly to the steering wheel. You can easily lose control of the car if you do not have a good hold on the steering wheel. The next step is to get off the road. You must not try to stop or turn too quickly, however. After you check the traffic, you should move over to the side of the road and slow down gradually. Then you should turn on your flashing lights so other cars will see you.
