“Pumpuang duangjan” or “Rumpueng Ji

“Pumpuang duangjan” or “Rumpueng Jithan” . The nickname well know “Pueng”. She was born on 4th August, 1961 at Ban Nokkhoa , T. Phai Nok Yoong Amphoe HanKha, Chai Nat. Befor she was growth at SongPhiNong District , Supanburi. She was 5th Daughter of 12 peoples. Her father’s name is Mr.Sumrarn Jithan and her mother’s name is Mrs. Lek Jithan . They’re sugar can cutter.
When she was a child, Her family was poor. She graduated from primary 2. She must out from school and to help keep vegetable, wild flowers. She would sell to factory make money for her family. Although she can’t read but she had singing talent. She always sang a song contest anywhere. In the name of “Nampueng Nah Rai-aoi. When she was 10 years old, she lived with “Duang Anucha band” in Bangkok. Then, she went back to Supanburi.
Until she was 15 years old. She sang contest at “Wat Thap Kradran” and “Waipoj Phetsupan”; the most famous Thai singer. He admired her talent. And he contacted her to played with him band. Pueng started to the way of Thai music country. She was dancer. Next, Waipoj wrote the first song “Khew Lor Phee” and became the first album for her. In the name of “Nampueng Muengsuphan”
While she lived with Waipoj. She met “Theeraphol Sansuk”; the first boyfriend’s Pueng. After that, she left to dancer and singer for “Sornphet Sornsuwan” and left again to “Khwunchai Phetroi-ed”. In 1976, “Mon MuengNheua” made she was a famous singer “Pumpuang Duangjan” and the next, song “Rak-mai-un-ta-rai” and “Rumpueng” .After that, they were set them band. But unsuccessful.
“Pumpuang Duangjan” was well know after she got support by “Phajuab Jumphathong” and “Phreecha Aussawarueknun” set band with “Saeree Rungsawang” in the name of “Saeree-Pumpuang”. After that, “Lop Bureerat” wrote song funny music for her and take her most successful.
The popular songs “Sao-na-sung-fan”, ”Nud-Phop-Nha-Ampore”, “Ue Hue Lor Chang”, “Dao Reung Dao Roi”, “Khon Dung Leum Lhung Khwai”,etc. Since 1972-1991, Pumpuang was the most popular singer. Because She had a beautiful voice and she could remember lyrics but she can’t read. She was awarded the Royal Gold Royal antennas from princess MaHa Chakri Sirindhorn of Thailand of “Somtum” . In the got award Siam name “Aok-sao-Nhoea-Sa-Uen” and she had been selected to sing a song “SomTum” of siam Crawn Royal Suda Rattana Thep . Pumpuang has been refer “Queen of thai music country” derived from “Phongsri Worranuch”
Later, Pumpuang succesed of music , She started to the film industry. In 1983, She played the first movie “Song-Kram-Pleng”. And next movie “Mon-Rak-Nuk-Pleng” she met “Kraisorn Sang-anun”; he toke she to met “Phaijit Supawaree”. She made several song “Tak-Ka-Tan-Phook-Bow” and “Lok-Khong-Pueng” . Next, she signed by “Hang-Top-Line” , She sang a song “Siam-Mueang-Yim” . She was the best singer awarded from princess Maha Chakri Sirindhon of Thailand again.
About music and movie, Pumpuang was very successful. But about Love&life was opposite completely. She and her boyfriend terminated. Because she knew that her boyfriend commit adultery with her sister (Salakjit Duangjan) but they’re still worked together. In 1984, She married with “Krasorn Sangsuk” and they has a son name is “Santiphap” Before he changed name is “Sorraphop” or “Phet”
In 1987, Theeraphol was be skilled by Pumpuang’s brother.


In 1992, Pumpuang was ill with SLE; Systemic Lupus Erythematosus) or Allergy itself. And she always an argumented with her husband until he came confess that they were real argument. While her family believed she was made ill because of the occult. They brought her out from Sirirat hospital and took her to Phitsalok. But after worship the Buddha Chinnarat she was shock and died on June 13, 1992
