The preparation was prepared according to Hu [13–15]. The
experiment was conducted on April 25, 2005 in Yixing City,
Jiangsu Province, P.R. China. Se fertilizer with Se concentration of 150 mg L−1
was foliar sprayed at a rate of 150 g ha−1
.
The experimental area of 2000 m2
was average divided into
two plots, one for Se application and the other as a control.
The new tea shoots containing one leaf and a bud were collected after 10 days of foliar spray. The harvested tea leaves
were processed into commercial roasted green tea milled into
powder and stored at −20 ◦
C for further use. The polyphenols contents in Se-enriched green tea and regular green tea
were 163.37 and 162.20 g kg−1
, respectively. And the protein contents in Se-enriched green tea and regular green tea
were 345.26 and 335.12 g kg−1
, respectively.
