It is possible to arrive at psychosexual maturity without genital intimacy. As human beings we are sexual. As celibates we are called to exercise and experience our sexuality without deliberately seeking genital pleasure and exclusive companionship with another person as happens in marriage. This, of course, is a perennial challenge for the celibates.
