Right orbital mass displacing the gobe evaluation before excisional biopsy unenhanced and enhanced ct of the orbits were performed using 3 mm slice thickness and coronal reformation images areviewed in soft tissue window and bone window
There is a 2.5 cm ovoid homogeneously enhancing soft tissue mass centered in the peromedial part of the right orbit predominantly in the extraconal space to a lasser extent intraconal space. The mass displaces the orbital globe as well as the medial rectus muscle laterally. No definite invasion of the globe or the muscles is seen. The adjacent bones particularty the lamina papyracea and the orbital floor are thinning and smoothly remodeled. No calcifications are seen. The opticnevers are not involved. There iscontinuation of the mass into the nasolacrimal duct.
The visualized brain and nasopharynx are unremarkable. The paranasal sinuses and mastoid air cells are essentially clear.
A 2.5 cm ovoid homogeneously enhancing soft tissue mass centered in theinforomedial part of the right orbit with no demonstrated aggressive
Appearance. Differential considerations are schwannoma venous malformation formerly called cavernous hemangioma low-grade mic=nor salivary gland tumor and lymphoma
