As shown in Fig. 2, total phenol content in control and COtreated
samples showed different changing trends during storage
period. Total phenol content of the control and CO-treated samples
decreased at 1-day storage, and then increased in the late days.
However, those fumigated with CO decreased after 2 days, reached
to the lowest point at day 5, and then slowly increased. Total phenol
content of the sample treated with CO was higher than that of
control samples, but therewas no significant difference after 2 days
of storage (P > 0.05).
