Anyway;' she said, changing the subject. "How was your
first day back at school?"
Fizza was just wondering if she should tell her mom about
getting into trouble with Mr. Jackson when th e ph one rang.
"]'11 get it!" she said as she ran for the phon e.
"Hello?" she said.
"Pizza?" a boy's voice said.
" Vres:1"
"Fizza, it's Billy. Billy Adams."
Fizza's heart gave a little jump.
"Oh, hi;' she said, tr ying her best to sound cool.
"I wondered if you'd like to come to th e park:'
"When ,."
"This evening?"
An hour later Fizza found herself walking through the
park with Billy Adams. What a crazy day it had been! She had
started the day feeling really miserable and she was ending
the day feeling wonderful! As they walked, they talked about
school, family, and friends. He told her how he loved soccer
and playing his guitar. and she to ld him about her judo.
"Show me a move then!" said Billy.
And so Fizza threw him over her back and onto the gro und
and thi s made them laugh a lot.
"Where did you learn to do that?" he said as he lay on the
grass .
"My dad taught me!" laughed Fizza.
"Well. tell him 1 want some classes!"
Then they began to talk about their vaca tions in the
summe r and Fizza told him all about her adventure s on Sark,
the horses. an d Fletche r.
"So was it a holiday roman ce?" asked Billy.
Fizza laughed.
