Speed pill bust leads to 2 arrests
Police arrested two suspected members of a drug network yesterday in Chumphon and Songkhla provinces, seizing about 300,000 speed pills.
Narcotics police yesterday arrested Karan Santikarn, 48, at a checkpoint in Chumphon after 300,000 speed pills were allegedly found hidden in a secret compartment in his Honda Accord sedan. Two mobile phones were also seized.
Police said the suspect admitted that he had received 100,000 bath to deliver the drugs to a man in Songkhla’s Hat Yai district.
His confession led to the arrest of Firahan Binlormae, 31, after the drugs were delivered to him on Phetkasem Road in Hai Yai, police said.
Police said the two suspects were members of a drug network operated by a major dealer in the South.
