With pop-star fans including Beyoncé, Kylie Minogue, and Lady Gaga—not to mention his backer Bernard Arnault, the head of LVMH, as well as a legion of club kids, drag queens, and teenage style bloggers—singing his praises, he is clearly doing something right.
