Thewater resources category is dominated bywater input to the
farm ponds (68%), the feed input at the farm (17%), the water input
to the hatchery ponds (14%) and finally the feed input at the
hatchery (1%). From this water resource footprint, we can conclude
that water use throughout the cradle to farm gate life cycle can be
subdivided into feed-associated and pond-associated water use.
Pond-associated water use amounts to 1554 m3 per tonne Pangasius
in our study.
