In this paper,
the key timing characteristics of control
networks,
which include blocking time,
frame time, and propagation time are introduced.
The typical construction of Networked Control Systems (NCSs) is given, and an approach to design of a full-state observer is discussed with network-induced random time delay less than one sample period. Then a scheme of compensation for network-induced time delay in NCSs is proposed based on the observer derived in this paper. Finally, simulations in different network delay ranges have been carried out,
and the good performance is verified.
