The objective of this article is to review the literature and propose a framework that
explains the impact of social network tools on recent behavioral and political changes.
Literature pertaining to social networking, attitudes, and behavioral change will be
reviewed.
Second, a framework that links perceived characteristics of social networking
tools to attitude, behavioral
intention, and actual behavior is presented.
Third, research propositions are proposed
to stimulate future research that improves our understanding of the relationships among
the different framework variables, social networking, behavior change and political
change. Lastly, political and policy implications are discussed.
