The average person has about 10,000 taste buds and they are replaced approximately every two wewls. Each taste bud contains 50 to 100 taste cells. But as a person ages some of those taste cells are not replaced An older person may have only 5,000 working tastw buds That is why certain foods may and why children may have stronger dislikes of certain foods.
