Due to the lack of robust automatic SAR image interpretation
algorithms, SAR images are still manually interpreted
for ice mapping by national ice agencies such as the Canadian
Ice Service (CIS) [4]. Manual interpretation of SAR images
is time consuming, generating low-resolution ice maps, and
subjective [5].
