Another method of regulating (restricting) international trade is by antidumping complaints that are deliberately used to harass exporters to the nation (see Section 11-3). Still other methods are safety regulations for automobile and electrical equipment, health regulations for the hygienic production and packaging of imported food products, and labeling requirements showing origin and contents. Which many of these regulations serve legitimate purposes, some (such as the restriction on the showing of foreign films in some European Union countries) are thinly veiled disguises for restricting imports.
