Our global employee share plans, the Monthly Investment Plan and the Share Matching Plan are very well perceived: about 9,5 Mio. shares are already in the hands of 137,000 of our employees and one in three is already shareholder of Siemens.
The general concept of the Share Matching Plan is to reward your investment in Siemens shares by granting you one free1 share for every three shares you buy and hold. Precondition to receiving the free matching shares is that you do not sell or transfer your purchased shares during a 3-year vesting period and remain employed with Siemens through this period.
As a Siemens employee (vs. Senior Manager), you can invest in Siemens shares on a monthly basis in the so called Monthly Investment Plan 2014 (MIP 2014)2. You can invest up to 5% of your annual gross cash compensation. The amount will be deducted in twelve equal tranches from your monthly salary. At the end of the 1-year investment period of the MIP 2014, your purchased shares can be contributed into the Share Matching Plan 2015 (SMP 2015)3.
If you are a Senior Manager, you may not participate in the MIP 2014, but you will be eligible to invest up to 50% of your annual gross BONUS directly into the Share Matching Plan 2014 (SMP 2014)2.
Share custodian and share plan service provider for both the Share Matching Plan and the Monthly Investment Plan is UBS. Your individual election to participate can be carried out via a secure web-platform, “EquatePlus”, provided by UBS during the so called Offering Period, starting on November18 – December 17, 2013
