Fresh dung samples were taken from the mixed dung collected
from the alpine meadow on April 22, 2008. The samples were then
thoroughly mixed and a sub-sample of 60 g was oven dried at
108 C for 12 h to measure the water content. The rest of the sample
was air dried on a bench in the lab for two days and then analyzed
for nitrogen (N) (semi-micro Kjeldahl), phosphorus (P)
(colorimetry after digesting soil with perchloric acid), potassium
(K) (flare photometer) and organic matter (dichromate oxidation
method) [9].
