Further, analysis of each of the genetic markers by gender revealed
that the rs2304008 SNP within the Myt1l gene had a significant genotypic
but not allelic association when comparing the female schizophrenia
subjects to the female control subjects only (p = 0.04; Table 5).
None of the remaining genetic markers showed any significant allelic
or genotypic associations with gender (0.08 ≤ p ≤ 0.98; Tables 2, 3, 4
and 5). However after Bonferroni correction the significance of the
Myt1l genotypic association in female schizophrenia subjects was lost.
