The Traditional Blue Collar Segment includes skilled blue-collar workers who are flexible in their brand selection and willing to spend money on cars. This segment represent 12 percent of car owners. Ford, Opel/Vauxhall, Fiat, Peugeot, Renault, and Volkswagen’s Skoda are identified with the larger middle class in this segment. The GM Daewoo brand is identified with the smaller lower middle class in this segment. The Pragmatic Striver Segment consists of lower middle class and lower class car owners who are frustrated because they cannot afford their desire products. Used cars, mostly large and well-known European brand family car, dominate in this segment. Eleven percent of car owner fall into this segment.
