Praise is to Allah, the Lord of the worlds and blessings and peace be upon the Messenger of Allah and upon his family and companions and those who follow Him.
Ramadan is the month in which was sent down the noble Qu’ran, as a guide to humankind and fasting in this holy month is an obligation practiced by those who truly are devoted to the Oneness of Allah. Its annual observance is regarded as one of the five pillars of Islam.
For me, it is a time for spiritual reflection, a time to purify, a time for improvement and enhancement in my devotion and worship. It is a time for increase in supplications and begging for deliverance from His wrath. For me, no other days can compete with those 29-30 days. For me, it is a period of extreme closeness to Almighty Allah- the most Gracious, the most Merciful.
