The extraction of vitamin C and free MDA were performed according to Cerhata, Bauerova, and Ginter
(1994). The supernatant was filtered and the vitamin C
level was determined by using the method of Tavazzi, Lazzarino, Di-Pierro, and Giardina (1992)and MDA levels by
Karatas, Karatepe, and Baysar (2002). Vitamin C and
MDA were determined by using absorption spectra of
246 and 254 nm, respectively.
