I understand that the fan status indicator on the chassis is glowing amber.

Please let us know about the business impact due to this issue.
Action Plan:
1) Please upload the UCSM and Chassis tech support files on the case.
2) Have you tried reseating the fan module ? Could you also try swapping the fan with a good known fan to verify if the issue moves with fan?
3) Is it the first time occurance on the fan or have we been facing issues with the same fan earlier as well ?
4) Was there any recent firmware/hardware change on the UCS chassis ?
