2.3. Transesterification experiments
Reactions were performed in a 50-mL batch reactor (with
a reflux condenser) and a magnetic stirrer, at the molar ratio
of alcohol:oil:catalyst of 6:1:0.2. The catalyst (NaOH or H2SO4)
was dissolved in CH3OH under stirring. Then, the vegetable
oil was added into the reactor under stirring at 17 Hz, and
the mixture was allowed to reflux at the boiling point of the
alcohol for a period of time (1, 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 h). After, the
