2.2. NPs characterization
The UV–vis spectra were obtained using a Cole Parmer 2800
spectrophotometer. FT-IR analyses were performed on the corn husk
extract before and after the NPs biosynthesis using a PerkinElmer
System 2000 spectrophotometer. The synthesized NPs were centrifuged
at 6000 rpm for 15 min and rinsed with DW. The sediment
was kept for further analysis. The morphologies and the elementalcompositions of the AgNPs and AgClNPs were detected by SEM
using a JEOL JSM6701F microscope equipped with an EDS spectrometer.
A powder sample dispersed in ethanol and placed on a
copper grid was characterized via TEM on a JEOL-3010. The particle
size was measured using a Nanotrac Wave analyzer. The crystalline
nature of the material was assessed using a Bruker-D8 XRD
(CuKα¼1.5406 Å).
