Further studies should be carried out to determinefirst whether this fruit is climacteric or not, and also other physi-ological parameters such as tolerance lower temperatures (below5◦C), the effect of gas composition, anoxia and other treatments toextend the shelf-life to two weeks, and this will certainly boost thearil fresh local and export markets.
