President & CEO
Dear Business Partners –
At Procter & Gamble, the foundation of our supplier
selection guidelines is based on our Purpose, Values and
Principles. These key elements are of utmost importance
for proper business conduct and respect for all
individuals in the quest for common prosperity.
This publication reaffirms the following commitments,
what we expect from our suppliers and what our
suppliers can expect from us.
P&G is committed to providing products and services
of superior quality and value to the world’s consumers.
While P&G competes hard to achieve leadership and
business success, it is vital for suppliers to understand
that the Company is concerned not only with results,
but with how those results are achieved. We will never
condone nor tolerate efforts or activities to achieve
results through illegal or unethical dealings anywhere
in the world.
We operate within the spirit and letter of the law and
maintain high ethical standards wherever we conduct
business. We expect all our suppliers to conduct their
business with the same high standards. We will actively
seek business relationships with suppliers who share
our values and promote the application of these high
standards among those with whom they do business.
Likewise, P&G always seeks to treat suppliers honestly,
ethically and fairly. We believe that any relationship
works best when a foundation of trust exists between
the parties. By treating suppliers honestly, ethically and
fairly, we do our part in building that foundation. We
do this not only because it is the right thing to do, but
also because it can help strengthen our results by
making us, our business and our Company more
attractive to our suppliers.
