Grade 1:
mild
minor eczematous changes, some scaling,
not itching, mainly localized interdigitally
specific treatment is unnecessary.
Grade 2:
moderate
definite eczematous changes (erythema/scaling
and/or vesiculation)
localized interdigitally and/or on the dorsal
side of the hands
medical attention is justified.
Grade 3:
severe
serious acute, vesicular (e.g. pompholyx),
subacute or chronic eczematous changes,
spreading over the volar and dorsal sides
of the hands, which interfere with work
or daily living
medical attention is necessary.
