From Table III, it can be seen that the generator eddy current losses increase dramatically, when the generator operates with the rectifier load, which are four times more than the eddy current losses with the resistance load. In the HSPMG, the rotor sleeve is very necessary to fix permanent magnets due to the large centrifugal force. But in the meantime, eddy current will be also induced in the alloy sleeve affect by the harmonics.
