The LOC inbound (front) course can only be set and adjusted by the COURSE knob on the Remote
Instrument Controller (RIC).
At LOC capture, HDG mode automatically disengages and LOC mode automatically engages, so
the helicopter turns to track the selected localizer.
At GS capture, any selected collective mode automatically disengages and GS mode automatically
engages, so the helicopter adjusts collective to hold the glide slope.
After GS capture and at a computed condition for correct approach and deceleration the IAS mode
is disengaged and the DCL mode engaged.
The airspeed reference bug moves to 80 KIAS and the digital reference is set to 80 KIAS.
These values can be adjusted using the cyclic beep trim at which time the IAS mode automatically
engages replacing the DCL mode.
Upon completion of ILS Approach, ALVL mode is automatically engaged.
