Egg contents (900 ul) were artificially seeded with 109 cell of SE (100 ul) to obtain a final concentration of 108 cells/ml. Undiluted, two-, four-, and tenfold dilutions of the inoculated egg contents were prepared in PBS and 100 ul of each sample was administered to the test panel to find the optimum running ability of the samples.
