Queensland may have lost the State

Queensland may have lost the State of Origin battle last night but that doesn't mean Cody Simpson is any less proud of his home state!
He's made a name for himself in Los Angeles but the teen heartthrob still considers himself a Queensland boy.
So in order to celebrate Queensland Day (which happens to be today), the 16-year-old is planning an Aussie feast over in his new home base of USA.
"Although I can't be back in Queensland for it, I'll be surfing in California and feasting on meat pies and Tim Tams," he said.
Cody is really proud of his Queensland roots and why wouldn't he be?
"What I love most about Queensland is the freedom, and the mellow happiness that is ever present in the air. I love the lifestyle and the culture. Having travelled all across the globe, I've grown to appreciate what a spectacular spot it is," he adds.
The heartthrob has even named his new album Surfer's Paradise, due to be released in July, as an homage to his roots.
