The modelling approach outlined above can be applied to the
processing of any sucrose-containing solution which can be supplied
from a sugar factory to a hydrogen plant. In the present work,
considering the availability of experimental data which are necessary
for the simulation of key process stages, molasses was
assumed as a feedstock.
