Research Questions #1 and #2, with their corresponding hypotheses, utilized the
nominal level of data for the independent variables of oral health care knowledge and oral
health perceptions, and ordinal data for the dependent variables of oral health status, and
practices. The analysis used for this statistical analysis was one-way ANOVA with, as
appropriate, Student-Newman-Kuels posthoc analyses. RxC contingency tables were
assessed using Chi-square where appropriate. Multiple logistic regression was used for
support of single-factor analysis and evaluation of multiple factor effects. A probability
level of p = 0.05 was be applied as the criteria for accepting or rejecting the null.
