MANY THERMAL plasma torches have been developed for industrial applications. In order for them to be used
in various industries, the industries require high power, contaminant free, low cost, low maintenance, and large volume [1].
Conventional plasma torches are direct or alternating current
arc torches, induction torches, radio-frequency (RF) plasma
torches, etc. In general, arc torches are device of arc plasma
column generated between two electrodes. These torches have
small volume of plasma, have high operational cost, and require
many expensive additional systems for operation. In order to
eliminate problems associated with the conventional plasma
torch, we had developed an electrodeless microwave plasma
torch at atmospheric pressure.
