II. PRINTABLE CHIPLESS TAG
A. Chipless Tag Design
The proposed chipless tags use an SRR array, which exhibits
a frequency selective behavior. An incident plane wave on the
SRR array surface will typically exhibit a frequency selective
behavior with deep rejection in the vicinity of the resonance
frequency of the resonator [5]. By varying the parameters of
the SRR and the directions of the gaps, we can also vary the
resonance frequencies. If the parameters are varied, equivalent
capacitances and inductances are changed and significantly affect
the resonance frequency. The proposed chipless tag is designed
to analyze the frequency selective behavior of the SRR
array. The pattern is printed on a poly carbonate
sheet. The thickness of the sheet is 0.1 mm. The height
and width of the SSR are 3.55 mm and 3.55 mm,
respectively. The length of gap is 0.5 mm and the width
of pattern is 0.5 mm. The thickness of the pattern
is 0.5 mm and the separation between SRRs
is 0.5 mm. The direction of the gap is shown in Fig. 2.
