igher than in the summer, while during the summer, concentrations
of Ozone were higher than in the winter. The amplitude of
NOx and PM10 concentration levels during winter and summer
measurement campaigns present a diurnal cycle, as demonstrated
in Fig 2. During the morning and evening hours, when traffic is at its
peak and the synoptic conditions are relatively stable, the pollutant
values were at their peak. It should be noted that a dust flow
accompanied by a south-eastern wind occurred during the third
day of the winter measuring campaign, causing high values of PM10
and NOx concentrations at all the investigated sites.
