The Buddhist Lent Candle Casting Ceremony and the ceremony of presenting candles to the monks annual 2013
Kasetsart University Kamphaeng Saen campus carried on traditional Thai religious ceremony with joining the Buddhist Lent Candle Casting Ceremony on Wednesday 10 July 2013 at the god of rain pool known among Thais as สระพระพิรุณ in Kasetsart University Kamphaeng Saen campus serialized in The Buddhist Lent Day.
The commencement of the three-month Buddhist Lent, known among Thais as Khao Phansa, traditionally fall on the first day of the waxing moon of the eighth lunar month.
During this period, coinciding with the rainy season, Buddhist monks and novices remain closeted in their particular monasteries, discouraged from spending nights elsewhere.
Kasetsart University kamphaeng saen campus arranged this work with the objective encouraged art and culture and jointly created a goodness rouses for the temple and neighboring communities according to project nine บวร on Wednesday 10 July 2013 since the 06.30 am and on Thursday 18 July 2013/2556 presented Lent candles to sixteen temples by set the candle parade at the god of rain pool known among Thais as สระพระพิรุณ. In this work have vastly administrator, faculty of teachers, officers, and students become a part of inherit Heritage culture and conserve goodness culture of Buddhism.
