The following nematode specimens borrowed from the U.S. National Parasite Collection in Beltsville, Maryland and stored in 70% ethanol in vials were examined: (1) ‘‘Philometrella simeri’’ (USNPC No. 032281.00) (a subgravid female, type)fromthe bodycavity of Polyodon spathula collected in Mississippi by P. H. Simer on 25 August 1926 and identified by B. G. Chitwood on 3 April 1932; and (2) ‘‘Camallanus oxycephalus’’ (USNPC No. 052316.02) (3 males and 4 gravid females, voucher specimens) from P. spathula of the Yellowstone River, Montana, collected by L. Lockard on 12 December 1974 and identified by G. L. Hoffman on 20 August 1997.
