When I am talking about my every day working hours with somebody, how does the following saying sound to a native speaker:
" I start working at 8:00am in the morning, and finish working at 5:00pm in the afternoon"?
Does "finish" convey the meaning that the work in the day has been finished, or just say that "I" go home at 5:00pm in the afternoon?
Also, how would a student say about his/her school day?
Something like this " I start school at 9:00am in the morning, and finish school at 3:00pm in the afternoon"?
