For this to be natural and successful, the teacher has to be attuned to the students' concerns and interests. This is suitable lead-in to the kind of project that requires' alternative thinking', protest, etc. Topics such as ecology (greenhouse effect, the ozone layer, preservation of fauna and flora, etc. ), human rights (children's rights, social justice, immigration, etc. ), and the move towards a better world in general would be appropiate here.
