Precipitate from a scale-up run wit

Precipitate from a scale-up run with SSW was characterized also with XRD. Froth collected from the surface of the flotation cell was dried for 24 h at 105 °C. About 100 mg of residue was scattered on an amorphous tape from which the measurement was performed with Bruker D8 Discover. The resulting diffractogram, presented in Fig. 7, reveals that all the tops match for aluminum oxide. Interestingly, also Al(II) oxide, AlO (possibly as a part of diaspore, AlO(OH)), was detected (calculated from ICSD using POWD-12++). To the best of our knowledge, this has not been reported before.
