Thus,the chemical cost of treating BTEX-contaminated groundwater was approximately US$0.159 L1. The operating period in this work was 20 days. Prolonging the operating period should be tested to assess its effective oxygen releasing period. Chemical cost may therefore be reduced.
In conclusion, experimental results indicate that adding ORICBs is a potentially cost-effective approach for bioremediation of BTEX in groundwater.
