Also, students in the cooperative learning group felt more interested and less anxious, perceiving cooperative learning as a valuable way to effectively appreciate knowledge. The positive effects of cooperative learning, found in the literature, have led to the following hypotheses: (1) students who taught by STAD learning will have greater mathematics achievement than those taught through lecture-based teaching, and (2) students who taught by STAD learning will have positive attitudes toward mathematics than those taught through lecture-based teaching.
