Using the quantitative method, I was able to reach a sufficiently large and
representative sample of the population across the three countries being researched to
allow generalizations of the results to the entire population. Further, the qualitative
method could lead to a breach of confidentiality when surveyors interacted with
participants (Leahey, 2009) and, therefore, would not be appropriate for the purpose of
this study. A qualitative enquiry would have provided a narrow and limited reach with
similar resources. Further information on research method, design, population and
