The KNP is a protected area but part of the irregular remnant of the fast dwindling Ghana’s portion of the moist evergreen Upper Guinea Forest and dominated by Celtis zenkeri and Triplochiton scleroxylon (Hall and Swaine, 1976) although there are about 100 tree species.
