China and

introduced the Middle Kingdom to Europeans, the mystery and
mist around China have fascinated outside observers including
researchers. Although for centuries a great deal of sociological
and sinological research on China and Chinese culture has been
conducted, business research on China first began following
China’s Opening Policy of the late 1970s, when new economic
policies caused rapid economic growth unprecedented in history.
