This policy insures against manufacturing defects ( of any of De Boer
material) for the period mentioned in the certificate, taking effect as of the
day of practical completion when the materials are completely installed.
The sum insured is 620.000 €, and this covers the refund of the fault in the
product; the costs of fitting, to include erecting scaffold and removing and
re-fixing the defective product; paying all costs of materials, wages and any
other associated items to restore to the original condition of the insured
roof. The roof complex includes both the thermal insulation and the
waterproofing products.
The guarantee is limited to manufacturing faults, that cause the roof to
become non-waterproof and does not cover the aesthetic appearance of the
surface and cracks. Excluding other causes which may result in the product not
being waterproof.
This guarantee covers the materials manufactured by N.V. DE BOER & C° and in a
multi-layer system. All layers of felt membrane are to be from the DE BOER
range. Any insulation used within a system is to hold a BBA-certificate or
manufactured to an ISO 9002 standard.
We must be informed within 10 days of discovery of any water ingress or
damage, by registered letter to our office. The building owner/occupier is to
give every assistance in making enquiries to resolve an issue.
All parties, the manufacturer, the material supplier and the roofing
contractor must have been paid completely.
This guarantee also ceases to apply if any work is undertaken to the roof by a
third party, or if any mechanical damage is caused.
