UNIQLO adopted many strategies to become one of the leading fashion brands of Japan. Experts showed that Japan’s economy, including the aging population and low birth rate, is a main reason why UNIQLO needed to adopt strategies to become a leading brand of fashion in Japan (Mohanty, 2012). UNIQLO decided to adopt five strategies to lead them towards being the leading fashion brand of Japan. Besides targeting fashion-forward and central city locations, UNIQLO created strategies to improve their business to become the leading fashion brand of Japan. According to the UNIQLO case study, UNIQLO developed products based on the customers’ feedback, bought high quality material from various parts of the world, had expert guidance on the different stages of production, established global flagship stores, and focused on their online business in the year of 2012 (Mohanty, 2012). Overall, UNIQLO developed a strategy to create exceptionally high quality products at a low price. UNIQLO has added a few more strategies in 2013 to become one of the leading fashion brands of Japan.
